Being Asian in America

Asian American Advertising Federation partnered with the Pew Research Center to host a webinar on “Being Asian in America” on Nov. 2, 2022.

Neil Ruiz, associate director of race and ethnicity research at the Pew Research Center shared highlights from a comprehensive qualitative study on Asian Americans from the center. The study explores the experiences and views of American Americans and 66 focus groups with a total of 264 participants that covers 18 distinct Asian ethnic origin groups. Discussions took place in 18 languages and were moderated by members of the participants’ own ethnic groups.

  • How do participants from smaller ethnic groups see themselves?
  • Immigrant identity, and others (religion, etc)
